If you’re someone who uses their Apple Watch to access their email, social media, and other accounts, then it’s important to know how to remove someone else’s Apple ID from your watch. This is especially important if you’re a family member or friend who has access to the same Apple ID. To remove someone else’s Apple ID from your watch, follow these steps:

  1. Open the App Store on your phone and search for “remove apple id.” If you don’t have an App Store account, you can sign up for one here.
  2. Once you find the “remove apple id” app, open it and sign in with your Apple ID. If you don’t have an Apple ID, create one here.
  3. Once you’ve signed in with your Apple ID, click on the “remove apple id” button. The app will ask for some information about why the person wants to remove their account. After providing this information, the app will start removing the person’s data from their watch.
  4. When the process is complete, your watch will be filled with a message saying that “the user removed their account.” You’ll be able to see this message in real-time on your wristwatch screen.

Tap the watch in the top corner of the screen on My Watch. Tap the next to the watch entry at the top of the screen. Select Unpair Apple Watch and confirm you want to proceed.

Because there’s a new apple id on the phone, it asks for a new password. It might be old DRM audio or apps on iCloud that are prompting the phone or watch to request those users’ passwords, as they haven’t downloaded any music yet. Settings General is where you’ll find this option.

The original owner of the device, and therefore the iPhone on which the Apple Watch was linked, has direct access to the iPhone and can simply unlink the Watch from it. An iOS gadget will lose its activation lock after this operation is completed. They’ll need access to an iPhone’s Apple Watch app.

Log in to iCloud.com using your Apple ID and password. You may use this page to locate My iPhone if it is lost or stolen. All Devices will list all of the devices linked to your account, and you can pick the one you wish to delete. Then hit Remove from Account

Select the General option from the Apple Watch’s Settings app. Select the Reset option and then press Erase All Content and Settings. You’ll be prompted to enter your passcode if you have one. Tap Erase All again, and your watch will begin deleting data.
