If you’ve been infected with a malware infection, your first step is to remove the malware from your computer. Malwarebytes has a variety of tools that can help you do this. To start, open Malwarebytes and click on the “Scan” button. This will launch the software’s scanning engine. Next, select the “Quarantine” tab and click on the “Add Quarantined File or Folder” button. This will open the Quarantine window. Click Navigation in the upper-right corner on the Home Page. Click Quarantined and Trusted Items under Features. To view the list of quarantined threats, go to Quarantined and Trusted Items, or Quarantined Potentially Unwanted Programs. Select the item you wish to remove from the list and then hit Delete when.
Delete. Once a threat has been identified by Malwarebytes and added to the quarantine, you may safely remove it since there is no longer a danger to your computer. Quarantined files remain on the system but take up storage space because of this.
You can neither delete nor move it. The file is not deleted, even though it is identified as infected. Although the file is identified as contaminated, it cannot harm your computer since it is in quarantine. It’s secure. If the problem can be resolved and the infection eradicated, the file may be removed from quarantine and reinserted into service.
Open Malwarebytes for Mac. Click the Detection History card. Select the Quarantined items tab. Check boxes next to each item you wish to recover or remove are selected by default; if not, click the check box after each entry. You can choose whether to restore or delete items.
Some files may be classified as threats when Malwarebytes for Windows runs on-demand and scheduled scans. These files are deleted from the disk location where they are quarantined, preventing your device from being damaged. Quarantined items remain in the Quarantine tab until you decide to keep or delete them.
