If you’re like most people, your office desktop is cluttered with shortcuts to programs and files you use every day. But how can you make room for new software and files without losing the old ones? One solution is to remove the grooves that Office 2010 creates on your desktop. Grooves are small, circular areas on your desktop where Office 2010 stores frequently used files and programs. To remove a groove:
- Open Office 2010.
- On the File tab, click Options.
- On the General tab, under “Save my settings as,” click Save settings locally (recommended).
- Under “Save my settings as,” click Remove grooves on this computer only (not recommended). ..
Start, Settings, Apps & Features, and you’ll be at the Apps & Features settings. Scroll down to Groove Music and search for it. The Uninstall button should appear near the top of the window.
Click or tap Open Task Manager on the Startup page of the System Configuration window. Select each startup item and then disable it in Task Manager’s Startup tab.
Open the Administrator’s window of Windows Powershell. copy and paste the following command into the PowerShell prompt, press Enter to remove the Groove Music App from your Windows 10 system: get-appx package Microsoft.Zune music remove-appx package?
Delete the groove.exe program and end the OneDrive process: In the task manager, right-click on the “Microsoft OneDrive” process and select “End Task.” Then, in your file explorer, right-click on the “Groove.exe” application and remove it immediately.
Open the Start menu and type MSConfig, then hit Win+R. Select the Startup tab. GrooveMonitor should be unchecked. Apply the changes by clicking on Apply. To free up memory, restart your computer.
