If you’re a Google Photos user on your Android phone, there’s a good chance that you’re not happy with the way things are going. The company has been slowly removing features from the app over the past few months, and it seems like they may be doing this in order to make way for something more focused on Photos. If you’re not happy with how your photos are being stored and used, there’s a good chance that you can remove them from your phone using the following steps:

  1. Open up Settings and scroll down to the bottom of the screen. There you’ll find a section called “Photos.”
  2. In this section, you’ll find a list of all of the photos that have been taken in your account. If there are any photos that have been removed from Google Photos, they will be listed here as well.
  3. To remove a photo from Google Photos, simply tap on it and select “Remove.” You can also select “Delete All” if you want to delete all of your photos at once.

If you use the Google Photos app as a gallery app to look at your photographs and don’t enable the Backup and sync option, there will be no effect on your phone. That is, after uninstalling the program, no photo will be lost from either Android or iOS phones.

Open the Google Photos app on your Android phone or tablet. Log in with your Google Account. Select a photo or video you want to trash by tapping and holding it. You may choose many items at once. Tap Remove at the top of the screen.

Go to www.google.com/settings/storage and sign in using your Google Account credentials. Select Cancel when prompted by the screen. Review any changes in storage that will occur after you cease your plan.

Open the Google Photos app on your Android or iOS device. Tap the profile photo icon in the upper right corner. Select “Use without an account” from your current account profile using the drop-down arrow.

It’s also unacceptable because it creates an excessive risk of sensitive data being exposed. People often take photos of things like private documents, or themselves naked. Google is a data company that has a responsibility to its users to make sure that’s the case.
