AOL is a popular web browser and email client that can be difficult to remove from your Mac. There are a few ways to remove AOL from your Mac, but the most reliable and easiest way is to use the Terminal app. To start the Terminal app, open Finder and type “terminal” into the Spotlight search bar. Then, click on the Terminal icon in the top left corner of your screen. If you’re using a Macbook Pro or newer, you’ll see a window that looks like this: If you’re using an older Macbook or an earlier model, you’ll see a window that looks like this: The first thing you’ll need to do is enter your Apple ID and password. Then, click on the “Sign In” button at the top of the window. The next thing you’ll need to do is select “Remove AOL from my computer.” After clicking on “Remove AOL from my computer,” you’ll be asked for your Apple ID and password again. After entering them both correctly, click on “Remove AOL.”


Select Settings from the left-hand menu. In the Programs and Features section, look for AOL EasyStart. Uninstall it by selecting Uninstall from the drop-down menu.

Select a message in the Mail app on your Mac. Select the message and then click the Delete button in the Mail toolbar or move the cursor over to the message’s header and click it.

Select Account Settings from the Mail menu. Click Accounts, then select the account you want to remove. Select – (the minus sign) from the drop-down menu. When prompted, click Remove or OK, then close the Mail preferences window.

Select the program or utility you wish to delete from the Applications folder. Select File Delete, use a shortcut, or go to Move to Trash.

Uninstall AOL Desktop Gold (AOL Desktop Edition will be uninstalled first) Click the Start Menu and select Control Panel. Select Programs > Programs and Features to display all installed programs, then pick AOL Desktop from the list. Remove/Uninstall is the option to choose.
