If you’re a Gmail user and have an Android device, there’s a good chance that you’ve heard of the feature called “account removal.” This is a handy way to stop yourself from having multiple accounts on your phone, or to stop yourself from accidentally sharing your account with others. To remove an account from the Gmail Android App:
- Open the Google Play Store and search for “account removal.”
- Tap on the app’s icon to start the process.
- Follow the prompts to remove your account.
- After you’ve removed your account, close the Google Play Store and your Android device.
On your Android device, open the Settings app. Go to Google Accounts > Security. Select Manage third-party access in the “Third-party apps with account access” section. Choose the application or service you want to disable. Access should be removed by selecting Remove Access from the drop-down menu.
Open Google on your Android device. Go to Settings > Google and then Manage Your Google Account. Select Data & Personalization from the top menu. From the drop-down menu, choose to Delete a service or your account.
On your Android phone or tablet, open the Settings app Google. Manage your Google Account. … Tap Data & privacy at the top of the page. Delete a Google service by clicking Delete a Google service beneath “Download or delete your data.” … Select Remove next to the product you wish to remove. Follow the on-screen instructions.
The activity page for your device displays all of the devices that have had access to your account in the last 28 days. Find and click on that device to expand it, then click on the red Remove button to delete it.
