If you’re like most people, you probably have more than one Microsoft account. Maybe you have a work account and a personal account, or you might have a student account and a family account. It can be really helpful to have multiple accounts, but it can also be confusing to keep track of them all. If you want to remove your Microsoft account from your phone, there are a few different ways to do it. Here’s how to remove a Microsoft account from your phone using each method:
- Sign in to your Microsoft Account on the web: If you want to remove your Microsoft account from your phone without using any of the other methods, the easiest way is to sign in to your Microsoft Account on the web. This will open up a web browser on your computer and take you to the login page for your Microsoft Account. On this page, you’ll see an option called “Remove my account.” Click this button and confirm that you want to remove your account from your phone. After confirming that you want to remove your account, click “Remove my account.”
- Remove my profile from devices: If you only use one device (like an iPhone or iPad), there’s another way to remove your profile from those devices without signing in to the web. To do this, go into Settings on those devices and select “Accounts & Sync.” Under “Your accounts,” select “Microsoft” and then click “Remove my profile.” After clicking this button, all of the data associated with that Microsoft account will be deleted from all of the devices that are registered with that Microsoft Account.
- Remove my profile from phones: If you use more than one phone (like an iPhone and an Android phone), there’s another way to remove your profile from those phones without signing in to the web or removing profiles individually on each device. To do this, go into Settings on those phones and select “Accounts & Sync.” Under “Your accounts,” ..
Select the Start button, then Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts. Select the account you’d want to remove under Accounts used by email, calendar, and contacts and then Manage. To confirm your choice, select Delete. Select Delete to finalize the process.
Go to Account Settings and select Manage Accounts. Select Delete after moving the cursor over the account you wish to delete in Manage your connected accounts. Choose Save when done. You may remove an Outlook.com account by deleting its email messages from the associated connected account.
Go to account.microsoft.com/devices and sign in. Locate the device you wish to remove by going to account.microsoft.com/devices, signing in, and selecting the device you want to delete. Remove the gadget after that by selecting it, then follow the on-screen directions.
Select File from the drop-down menu in the upper left corner of the Outlook window. Select Account Settings > Account Settings from here. After that, choose your account and click Remove. You’ll see a warning informing you that all offline cached material for this account will be destroyed.
Do not be concerned if you inadvertently sign into a Google account using an Android phone that has been used with another user’s device. As long as the two devices are linked via Bluetooth, your sign-in will work just fine and you can access any of your other information on the cloud without issue. If both users’ phones are linked to each other.
