Steam is a digital distribution platform for video games. It allows gamers to purchase, play, and share games with others. Steam also offers a feature called “steam keys.” Steam keys are unique codes that allow you to activate a game on your Steam account. To remove a game from your Steam account, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Steam account.
  2. Click on the “Games” tab in the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Uninstall a Game” button.
  4. In the “Uninstall Game” window, enter the following information into the fields: Game Name (e.g., “The Witcher 3”) Game Version (e.g., 1) Uninstaller Name (e.g., uninstaller-x86) Uninstaller Path (e.g., C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3) If you have multiple installations of The Witcher 3 on different computers, you may need to enter them all into one field so that they are all treated as one installation). Click on the “Uninstall” button and wait for it to finish installing the uninstaller software onto your computer. Once it has finished, open up your computer’s Control Panel and select “Programs and Features”. Under “Programs”, select “Steam”. Under “Steam”, select “Activate Product Key”. Copy and paste the key into the key field of that window’s Properties panel (if it isn’t already there). Click on OK to close both properties panels and return to your game’s properties panel in Steam; now you can play it without any problems!

Hiding a game is little more than an annoyance, because it can be restored; whereas removing a game from Steam permanently deletes it from your account. The hidden game may still be played at any time, but if the game is deleted from the account, the user will never be able to play it again unless they repurchase it.

Select the Library page from the top navigation. Open your library, locate and right-click the game you wish to remove, and select Delete Game. Steam will ask you whether you want to completely remove the game.

Open the Play Games app on your Android phone or tablet. Select More at the top of the screen. Settings. Tap Delete Play Games account & data. Find the game data you want to remove and hit Delete under “Delete individual game data.”

Open the Steam client on your PC, log in to your account, and select Library from the top bar menu. To view your list of games, go to the bottom of the page and click Library. Select Manage from the drop-down menu next to Remove from Account and then Delete. Before you can remove it, Steam will ask you if you’re sure you want to do this.

Go to help.steampowered.com and log in using your Steam account. Locate the purchase you wish to refund and click on it. Your purchase must not be beyond our return window if it is not listed.
