If you’re a Dropbox user, it’s likely that you’ve had your account hacked at some point. If so, this guide is for you.

  1. Log in to your Dropbox account and click on the “Accounts” tab.
  2. Scroll down and click on the “User” tab.
  3. In the “Name” field, enter in a new name for your account if you don’t have one already.
  4. Click on the “Create Account” button and enter in your new name and password.
  5. Click on the “Create Account” button again and confirm your new password by clicking on the “Confirm Password” button.
  6. Click on the “Logout” button to close your Dropbox account and log out of your computer altogether!

To uninstall Dropbox, follow these steps: Click the Dropbox icon from the menu bar and then “Preferences. from the context menu. Select “Account” from the drop-down menu, followed by “Unlink This Computer. Confirm that you want to unlink your computer by clicking Unlink?

Dropbox is a file hosting firm that provides file synchronization, cloud storage, and client software solutions. The Dropbox menu will no longer appear after you uninstall it, and your files in your Dropbox folder will no longer sync. i.e., your file hosting service will come to an end effectively?
