If you are a domain user and have been using your computer for work or personal purposes, then it is likely that you have not noticed that your domain user account has been removed. If you have not noticed, then the best way to remove the domain user from your computer is to use a utility such as Windows Defender or Malwarebytes.


Go to Start and select Properties. Select Advanced System Settings from the drop-down menu. Select the Advanced Tab from the drop-down menu. Select Settings under User Profiles. Then choose to Delete for the username you wish to remove.

To remove a user profile, access the Advanced System Settings menu and click Computer. Select the Settings option under User Profiles on the Advanced screen. Delete the profile you want to get rid of.

To remove a domain user account, open the Active Directory Users and Computers MMC snap-in, right-click the user object, and choose “Delete” from the context menu. To confirm the deletion, click “Yes” in the dialog box “Are you sure you want to delete this object?

Open the Settings app and choose Accounts from the menu on the left side. Select the connected AD domain you wish to delete this PC from, then click/tap Disconnect on the left side. Select Yes in the window that appears.

Select “Start,” right-click on “Computer,” and select “Properties.” Select “Properties” from the drop-down menu of options. Click the “Advanced System Settings” button. Click the tab labeled “Computer Name.” Select a new name from the drop-down menu at the bottom of the window.
