Captions are a great way to add extra information to videos, and they can also help make videos more interesting and engaging for viewers. Here are some tips on how to put captions on TikTok videos:
- Choose the right captioning software. There are a number of different captioning software programs available online, so it’s important to choose one that will fit your specific needs. Some popular captioning software programs include CaptionMate and CaptionMaster.
- Choose the right language. Captions should be in a language that is both understandable and popular with viewers. For example, if your video is in English, you might want to use a Spanish-language captioning program like CaptionMate or CaptionMaster.
- Add text formatting. Captions can also be formatted with text formatting such as bold, italics, underline, and hyperlinks. This will help viewers understand what’s being said in the captions and make them more accessible for future reference.
- Add images or videos! If you have images or videos associated with your video content, you can add them into the captions using these methods: a) Upload the image or video directly to your YouTube account b) Copy and paste the URL of the image or video into a comment on your TikTok video c) Use an online photo editor such as Picasa or Adobe Photoshop to create an image-based caption d) Use an online music player such as Spotify or Apple Music to add audio narration into your video
Download and install Tiktok
First, download the app on your phone. Then, install the app on your iPhone.
After that, open up Tiktok and you’ll see a screen that looks like this:
Please note that this is a guide for how to caption videos with the iOS app. If you’re using the Android app, please follow these steps instead!
Once you’ve installed the Tiktok app on your phone, you can start making captions for your videos. First, click “New Video” if it’s not already selected. You’ll then see a screen similar to what’s in the above picture. Once you’re ready to start recording your video, click “Start Recording.”
Once you’re done recording your video, tap on “Share” in the bottom right corner of the screen and select “Add a Comment.” Then make sure to choose an icon from the top left corner of your screen!
That’s it! Now make some captions and share them with people who might be interested!
Add a caption
On the top left of your screen, you’ll see a timer. This is what will tell you how long you have to caption your video so it’s ready to go on Tiktok. It starts at 10 seconds and slowly counts down to 0.
You can press the start button at any time (between 10-0 seconds) to start recording your video. When you’re done, just press “stop” and let the timer count down again while you type up a new caption!
The timer is also helpful when you don’t know what to say in your caption. You can set it for as few as 2 seconds and watch your video as it counts down before pressing “save”.
Edit your caption
If you’re an intrepid user, you can edit your caption before or after you post it. This is a good way to tweak the content and to make sure that it’s something your audience will want to watch.
If you haven’t edited your caption yet, click “edit” next to the text box. You can then change the text size, font, and colour of your caption.
After editing your caption, click “save.” Now this is posted as one caption for everyone who watches that video!
Share your video.
Tap on “Share” and select “Tiktok.”
Select the time-span you want to share your video over, then tap “Next.”
Tap on your preferred channel and type in a title for your video.
Give your video a description that helps others know why they should watch it!
After you’re done adding captions, press confirm and tap “Next” again.
Wait for Tiktok to give feedback! This will let you know if your captions are validated or not, so you can continue editing them or removing them if necessary
