If you’re a business owner, conference call participant, or other person who needs to be able to hear all participants in a free conference call, there are a few steps you can take to make sure that happens. First, make sure that your conference call software is configured to mute all participants. This will ensure that everyone in the call is heard equally and that no one is left out. Second, make sure that everyone in the call has their microphone turned on. This will allow them to speak without having their voice drowned out by others in the call. Finally, be aware of any potential issues that may arise during a free conference call. If someone is having an issue or if there’s something that needs to be discussed, be sure to let everyone know ahead of time so that they can be prepared for whatever might happen.

To silence all callers on the line, press once. To cancel a muted participant’s ability to un-mute themselves, press *6 again or twice in a row.

You may silence your phone from the call screen on an Android device. A mute button is included in the call screen (circled below). It’s a microphone with a line through it, and it has a slash through it. To mute or un-mute your hone, please click this button.

To unmute oneself. Hit the key that corresponds to your name. Participants may not be muted by hitting any keys. It is impossible to mute anyone. To resume open discussion mode. Repeat the process once again.
