If you are a business owner or administrator, then you must be aware of theDelete Option in Tally ERP 9. This option is available under the Options tab and it allows you to delete any data that is not needed anymore. If you are not familiar with this option, then it is best to take a closer look at it. The Delete Option can be used to delete any data that is not needed anymore. It can also be used to delete any data that is no longer accurate or useful. The Delete Option can be a helpful tool if you need to clean up your Tally ERP 9 system and want to remove all the old data. The option can also be used if you want to make changes to your Tally ERP 9 system and want to keep all the new data in place.  Disable delete and cancel function in tally

Go to Gateway of Tally > Display > List of Accounts > F5: Show Unused Select the ledgers that need to be deleted and press Alt+D. To continue, hit Enter.

Click Gateway of Tally > Accounts Info. > Ledgers > Change. Select Alt+D to open the Delete ledger window. You can remove a ledger if no vouchers have been entered into it, as long as you delete all of the vouchers from that ledger and then the account.

Go to the Gateway of Tally > Accounts Info. > Groups > Alter ( under Single Group ). Choose a group from the List of Groups . D: Delete Select Yes if you’re sure you want to remove it.

Remove the firm you wish to delete. Click on the Alt+F3 shortcut key to bring up a window with information. Select Alter menu from the company info menu to go to the company change screen. Press Ctrl + D Shortcut Key now.

To remove the Stock Group, press ALT+D. Note: If a stock group is utilized by any sub groups or stock items, you will not be allowed to delete it.
