If you’re like most Yahoo users, you probably rely on your Yahoo account to keep your email, contacts, and other important information organized. But what if you need to disable your Yahoo key? Here’s how to do it without logging in. First, head over to the “Account” page on your Yahoo website. You’ll see a list of all of your accounts under the “My Accounts” heading. Click on the account you want to disable your key for. On the “Settings” page for that account, click on the “Security” tab. Under “Security Options,” click on the “Disable My Yahoo Key” link. You’ll be asked to confirm that you want to disable your key. Click on the blue button that says “Disable My Yahoo Key.” Now, when you try to sign in to your account or access any of its content, you’ll be prompted to enter your password again. But since you won’t be using your actual Yahoo login credentials, this should be much easier than having to remember multiple passwords! ..

For that, turn on your computer and open a new tab then login https://login.yahoo.com/config/security .

First thing you need to do is change your password if it has been used already then click “Change Password” option as shown in the picture below. Then enter a new password twice and press “Save”. I strongly recommend you not leaving any part of your password empty (See picture below).

But, you still can’t disable your password. Next thing to do is enable the key without password.

For that, click “Manage Account Key” then choose one of the 3 options: Disable my account key and require a password . This option will save your password but disabling your Yahoo Key. You need to re-enter your password every time you login; or Use an alternate sign in method , this option will let you use another sign in method like email address + PIN or using the mobile number + 6-digit code; or Remove both passwords and don’t ask for any of them when I sign in . Your Yahoo key will be disabled permanently and cannot be reactivated anytime.

Please note that once you have disabled you yahoo key, you will no longer be able to use your yahoo mail. You only have a maximum of 1000 characters to say something about the benefits and drawbacks of this method I used. So better use them wisely…
