If you’re a Yalla user, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of the deletion process. It’s one of the most common ways to stop people from using your account, and it can be pretty hard to do. To delete your Yalla account, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Yalla account.
  2. Click on the “delete my account” link at the top of the page.
  3. Enter your desired information into the “delete my account” form and click on the “submit” button.
  4. Your Yalla account will be deleted and you’ll need to create a new one if you want it back.

What information is collected when I use the Services?

The information Yalla collects depends on how you choose to use it. The following are a few examples of the types of information we collect while using the Services: Information about your device : such as IP address, carrier, operating system version and type, application IDs or identifiers tied to specific applications installed on your device and mobile advertising identifiers (for example Google AdIDs) if you install any applications that utilize ad networks to monetize their services;

Information about your usage of our websites : including pages visited, time spent on those pages and specific interactions with content such as phone calls initiated through a website or messages sent from within an application;

Local/Geo-location data: which can be derived either from your IP address or through sensors on your device such as GPS; and

Information you provide to us directly : such as information you enter into a form on one of our sites, including any information that you voluntarily provide when signing up for an account. In addition to the above, Yalla collects information about how people interact with their ads , which may include various types of contact details (e.g., name, phone number, email address) and other unique identifiers (for example mobile advertising identifiers). If this involves processing special categories of personal data such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership or health data we will be required by law to obtain explicit consent from users before collecting it. Does Yalla sell my personal information? No, we don’t. Yalla takes your privacy and security very seriously. We do not and will never sell any of your personally identifiable information to any third party.

Will Yalla ever change its Privacy Policy? Yes, we may need to from time to time in order to keep providing you with the best experience on our sites or applications. We are committed to ensuring that our Services treat, safeguard and protect the confidentiality of your personal data . If we make changes that materially affect how we process your personal data, then we’ll provide you with notice in advance of doing so. This way you can choose whether you would like us to continue collecting the same type of data or stop using or disable your account.

How does Yalla protect children’s privacy? Children are not eligible to use the Services and Yalla does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from users that we know are under 13 years of age. If a parent believes that his/her child has provided us with personal data, he/she should contact us by email at [email protected] . When responding to such requests we will delete the child’s personal data as soon as practicable. We will also take appropriate steps to delete such data and inform parents if it is ever disclosed in contravention of our policy for processing children’s data (see point 5 below).
