If you’re a Yahoo user, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of the company’s “delete your account” feature. This is a way to stop yourself from being able to access your account online or from using certain features on your account. To delete your Yahoo account on your phone, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Yahoo app on your phone.
  2. Tap the “delete my account” button at the top of the screen.
  3. Enter your email address and password in the fields below.
  4. Click “confirm deletion.”
  5. Your Yahoo account will be deleted and all of its data will be lost!

Delete your account on Yahoo by going to edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user and following the on-screen instructions.

To access the Profile page, tap the Profile icon. Tap Settings. Tap Manage mailboxes to open the mailbox management menu. Select Remove (iOS) or OK (Android) from the drop-down menu next to the linked account to confirm your choice.

Choose Settings from your device’s Home screen. select Apps from the drop-down menu. Tap the app you wish to remove; it will begin to blink. uninstall by tapping uninstall. Tap OK after that.

Yahoo makes the elimination procedure simple enough, but users must wait “in most cases… approximately 90 days” for their account to terminate.

You can cancel your account only if no outstanding balance exists and you haven’t renewed any memberships for 90 days or more. As a result, you’ll have to wait three months to get rid of your account whether or not you still owe money to Yahoo.
