If you’re like most Yahoo users, you probably use the webmail service to access your email, calendar, and contacts. But if you want to delete your Yahoo account from your computer, there are a few different ways to do it. The easiest way is to sign in to Yahoo webmail and click on the “Account” tab at the top of the page. On the “Account” tab, click on the “Delete Account” link next to your name. If you don’t want to delete your Yahoo account but just want to stop using webmail, you can sign out of webmail and then sign back in. On the main Yahoo homepage, click on the “Mail” icon in the top left corner and then select “Sign Out.” When prompted, enter your password and then select “Sign In.” From now on, all of your mail will be sent through Yahoo’s mail servers instead of through your computer’s email program. ..

Go to the Delete My Account page on Yahoo and fill in your username. Then, follow the instructions to cancel your account.

Open the Chrome browser and go to Settings. Go to the left pane and choose Search engine from the drop-down list. From the drop-down list, select your preferred search engine. Now click on Manage search engines in order to continue. Select Remove from list next to Yahoo from the three dots menu.

Check the boxes next to the emails you want to select. Alternatively, click the Select All button at the top of the page. To select all displayed messages,  clickthe Select All icon. If prompted, click Ok.

Your account will not be cancelled, and you will be able to use it as usual. You’ll continue to receive emails from your contacts, but you won’t be able to send or receive them via Yahoo Groups.

Your computer is most likely infected with malware if your default search engine(Google) switches to Yahoo automatically when you normally use Chrome, Safari, or Firefox to browse the web. The ideal solution is to reset your browser’s preferences. This should prevent the Yahoo redirect virus from causing problems for you.
