There is no way to delete your account, but there are settings in your device that allow you to stop Wattpad from using any of the information we collect from you. By turning off tracking in your device settings you will be able to continue reading all of what you have written without being tracked by us or anyone else. If you turn off the other settings that assist with loading content more quickly and also help to identify inappropriate content, then it is possible for those stories to disappear from your app because they may not be readily available for download on our servers anymore. However, everything will still remain completely anonymous through trash cans and searches as long as tracking is turned off on your devices. How can I help you delete my Wattpad account?

Unfortunately, there is no way to delete your Wattpad account because we don’t have the author’s permission to do this on their behalf (even if they’re under 13 years old). Wattpad does not save plain text passwords, and Wattpad passwords are encrypted. However, in light of recent events, we have updated our password requirements for all accounts and asked users to change their passwords out of an abundance of caution.
