If you’re a Telegram user, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of the app’s deletion feature. This is a handy way to get rid of your account if you decide to move to a new computer or if you want to change your phone. To delete your Telegram account on a Mac, follow these steps:
- Open the Terminal app and type “delete-account” into the text field.
- The app will ask for your password, and then it will delete your account.
To delete your Telegram account, go to the My Telegram online portal and log in using your login credentials. Select Delete Account from the drop-down menu. Enter your reason for leaving in the provided space. When you’re ready, hit the Remove My Account button.
Tap on Settings in Telegram for Android and then go to Privacy & Security. select the Privacy & Security tab over there. scroll down to If Away for the part that instructs Telegram to automatically delete your account after a certain time frame has passed. Select the amount of time after which your Telegram account will be permanently disabled.
Tap and hold the message you want to remove, then choose Delete after. You may select “Delete for me” or “Delete for everyone,” or whatever it is you’re talking to.
On your iPhone or Android device, open the mobile app. Log in and go to App Settings to discover the Delete Account option at the bottom. Then confirm by tapping it. The data and matches are erased from the phone.
There is no option to delete your account within the Telegram app. Instead, you must go to a specific webpage. On any mobile or desktop web browser, visit the Telegram Deactivation Page. Enter your phone number and then click Next.
