If you’re like most people, you probably use Skype to communicate with friends and family. But if you want to delete your Skype account, there are a few steps you need to take. First, open the Skype app on your computer. Then click on the three lines in the top left corner of the screen and select “Delete Account.” After you’ve deleted your Skype account, you’ll need to sign in again to continue using it.


Selector button. Open the drop-down menu in the upper-right corner of your screen and choose Account Settings from it. Click Account Settings under Account details. Click Unlink next to your Microsoft account ID in the Linked accounts section.

It is not possible to combine or disconnect your Skype account from a Microsoft account, because it is already linked. You’ll be able to access all of your Microsoft products – including Skype, Office Online, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive, Xbox, and more – using your account.

In the strictest sense, canceling your Skype account actually means you’re deleting your Microsoft account. When you do so (deleting your Skype/Microsoft account), you’ll lose access to other services (Outlook, Hotmail, OneDrive, etc.) linked to your Microsoft account with the same email address.

If you forget your password, you’ll be able to reset it by following the on-screen instructions. However, if you close your Microsoft account, you won’t be able to use it to access any of Microsoft’s products and services. Your Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live, and MSN email accounts will also be deleted. OneDrive

You can create a new account or add an existing one, depending on your requirements. You may log in to your accounts separately or simultaneously, although you’ll need special hardware to operate two Skype voice lines at the same time.
