Skype is a popular VoIP service that allows users to make and receive phone calls, video calls, and instant messages. However, if you want to delete your Skype account but keep your 2020 account intact, there are a few steps you need to take. First, sign in to your Skype account and click on the “Account” tab. Next, select the “Settings” button in the upper-right corner of the screen. From here, you’ll need to click on the “Account Details” link under “My Account.” Once you’re on this page, scroll down until you see the section titled “Delete My Account.” Beneath this heading is a button that says “Delete My Account and All Data.” Click on this button to confirm your decision. To delete your Skype account without deleting your Microsoft account, you must first unlink your Microsoft account. Disclaimer: It will take some time for the Skype account to be removed from the database.

If you’ve done so, closing your Skype account permanently will also eliminate your Microsoft account. As a result, unlinking the connections is critical to ensure that you may still utilize Microsoft’s other services after deleting Skype from the list.

Launch the Skype program on your PC. Select Settings from the top left corner of your screen. Select Settings from the drop-down menu in the upper left corner. Scroll down and select Close your account on the right-side panel. To confirm your account, re-enter your password.

If you cancel your account, it will be permanently deleted when Microsoft deletes your account. You will no longer be able to access old conversations, files, or conversations.
