If you’re a PlayStation 3 user, there’s a good chance that you’ve at some point deleted your PSN account. If you haven’t done so yet, it’s time to do so. Here are the steps to delete your PSN account on PS3:
- Log into your PlayStation 3 system and go to the “Accounts” screen.
- Scroll down and click on the “Deactivate” button next to your PSN name.
- Type in your password and hit “Deactivate.”
- Your PSN account will be deleted and all of your data will be lost! Make sure to back up any important data before deleting your account if you want to keep it intact!
Go to the Settings menu on your PS4. In the drop-down, select Login Settings. Select User Management from the drop-down menu. On the User Management screen, choose Delete User. A list of users will appear on the next page; choose the one you want to remove. After that, press THE X button to confirm your choice.

Sony has modified the PlayStation Network Terms of Service (ToS) in July 2016 to include the following provision for those who have inactive accounts: You may close your Account by emailing us using the information below. We can shut down your Account if it hasn’t been used for at least 24 months.
Any subscriptions and their associated benefits will be deactivated. You will lose access to your PSN wallet, which contains money. Your wallet’s funds cannot be refunded because they are governed by the Terms of Service.
